Angelica Herrera-Venson is a Mexican-American gerontologist and bilingual public health researcher with two decades of experience in aging and diverse communities. Her expertise lies in aging, caregiving, and the challenges faced by diverse populations navigating health and social services.
Angelica's extensive research background includes peer-reviewed articles on topics such as quality care for diabetes, depression, health disparities, and family caregiving. She is the Associate Director for Data Management and Evaluation at the National Council on Aging (NCOA) and the author of The Multicultural Guide to Caregiving.
Driven by a passion for supporting those facing aging, dementia, and end-of-life transitions, Angelica is also a certified Dementia Care Practitioner and an End-of-Life Doula. Through Kapok, she provides compassionate, culturally sensitive guidance to individuals, families, and agencies, ensuring that everyone receives the support they need to navigate these complex journeys.
