In the half-hour episode, Mark McNease interviews Angelica Herrera – the founder of Kapok. They talk about a variety of topics, including Angelica’s background in epidemiology, public health and aging, the way that multicultural topics and concerns intersect with aging, how we decide the topics to write about here at Kapok, and Angelica’s upcoming book The Multicultural Guide to Caregiving.
Please check out the podcast if you have a little time.
It’s a fantastic way to learn more about Angelica’s passions and her guiding vision for Kapok.
Plus, we’re just simply excited to get it out there. One of the main goals of Kapok is to help people and podcasts offer another medium for doing so.
Getting people thinking and talking about aging and caregiving is so very important. There needs to be much more recognition of the needs of seniors and their families. Only then will we start to see real change.
Mark has recently started to share some of Kapok’s content as well, which is even more thrilling.
