Mobility/Paratransit
An elderly transport service from MTA (Maryland Transit Administration) specifically targeted at people who cannot use standard local transport services.
Service Information:
- Curb-to-curb service
- $1.85 for riders and for guests
- Same hours and days as regular bus, light rail and metro/subway services
- Reservations made by calling 410-764-8181 during normal office hours
- Available within 3/4s of a mile of any local bus route, light rail or metro/subway station in Baltimore City, Anne Arundel and Baltimore counties
Eligibility:
- Must have disability that limits ability to access or board other MTA services
- Must submit an application:
Reduced Fare Card Program
Service Information:
- Reduced fares for core MTA services
- Fares are: One-way – $0.55, Day Pass – $1.20 and Monthly Pass $16.50
- Additional $0.40 charge for any Express bus ride
Eligibility:
- Must show valid ID in one of the following forms:
- Government issued photo ID (showing 65+ years of age)
- Government issued photo ID and Medicare card
- Government issued photo ID and disability ID from another transit agency
- MTA Disability photo ID card
- MTA Senior Photo ID (these are no longer issued)
MTA Taxi Access Service
Service Information:
- Call-a-ride service
- Users directly interact with sedan and taxi services
- $3.00. If the meter reads above $20, user also pays anything over that amount
Eligibility:
- Must be a MTA-certified Mobility customer
